As
NITRO's first short film, "The Boyfriend" provided us with a base of
experimentation and a point from which we embarked on what has become a
journey of experience. The script is the work of Susan Fogarty who was
kind enough to entrust us with one of her creations.
Many of this original crew still form the core of what NITRO is today.
The film was originally shot over a weekend in the middle of 2003, just to see if we could do it.
The following six months involved a series of studies and reshoots
refining what we had as we learned more about what we were doing.
The final result is far from a polished film, but it was time to
abandon it and move on. As such "The Boyfriend" is featured on our
showreel as we consider it an important part of our history, despite
its faults.
